Fun Trips Out To Our Local Communities

Getting out and about, where possible is essential to heighten the experiences of our residents, improving their mental and physical well-being. And being located in the beautiful seaside towns of Poole and Bournemouth, it would be remiss of us not to make the most of it.

This is why, on top of our in-house activities, we organise regular trips and days out to local areas of interest. No matter whether your loved one is receiving residential care, nursing care, dementia care or respite care, we encourage them to join our excursion and get out of our homes.

Why not visit our care homes to see their fun surroundings and chat with some of our residents about our day trips? Arrange a viewing by calling us on 01202 037373.

    Public Gardens & Poole Quay

Poole is home to a variety of gardens open for public viewing. Our personal favourite is Compton Acres, a 10-acre garden blooming with colourful flowers and plants. They have five different themed areas, including an Italian Garden, Wooded Valley, and even a Japanese Zen garden! Each garden changes beautifully with the seasons, making them a sight to behold throughout the year.

Poole Quay is a beautiful spot to take a leisurely stroll. Our residents enjoy watching boats gently bob in the harbour, browsing quaint nearby shops, and breathing in the fresh sea air. And of course – no trip to the Quay is complete without a delicious ice cream!

    Museums

You are never too old to learn something new!

We frequently organise visits to the various museums located throughout the Poole area. Our residents get to discover Poole’s fascinating harbour-town roots at the Poole Old Lifeboat Museum and Shop or delve into the archaeological history surrounding the ancient port town at the Poole Museum.

    Theatres and Cinemas

Whether we’re off to watch a thought-provoking drama, classic musical, or even a raucous panto, a night out in the Lighthouse or Pavilion Theatre is always one to remember.

Residents also love catching the latest blockbusters, so you will frequently find us staring up at the big screens in the Odeon.

    Join In on the Fun!

Of course, that’s not all we get up to. We’ve also organised trips to bowling alleys, art galleries, the New Forest, the Tank Museum, and much more!

We’re always searching for new activities and experiences for our residents, and we do our best to honour all requests from them and their families.

Learn more about our fun days out by chatting to our residents and staff on a visit to one of our homes. Book a viewing by calling us on 01202 037373.
