Dementia Care Dorset Families Can Count On
It’s not easy placing a loved one in a home, especially when they themselves are anxious about leaving the home they’ve likely known for many, many years. And so, we strive to make the transition as easy as possible; the first step is to meet to discuss the individual’s requirements. We’ll tailor a care plan to support the resident’s needs while preserving their independence for as long as possible. Dementia care, Dorset families, is provided on specialist floors within our home.
It’s on one of these floors where the resident’s room will be located. Each room is fully furnished, though if the individual would like to bring furniture with them, we can remove any pieces which aren’t needed. We also encourage each resident to bring along any possessions, such as photos and ornaments. And they’d like the walls painted a different colour; we have a painter/ decorator on hand.
At Eagles Mount, we’re committed to providing the best dementia care in Dorset. Part of this process is triggering recognition to help alleviate confusion and promote independence. This is achieved, in part, by equipping each room with an individually coloured door that displays the resident’s name.
