Meet the Staff

The Registered Provider is Gunputh Associates Ltd. The Responsible Individual is Kevin Gunputh who can be contacted by post at Luxurycare Care, 26 Tower Road, Branksome Park, Poole, Dorset. BH13 6HZ or via e-mail at kevin.gunputh@luxurycare.co.uk.

Kevin’s introduction to the health care sector came at the age of 16, when he took up his first part-time position working evenings and weekends at Birds Hill Nursing Home in Poole.  Years later, in October 2000, Kevin’s father purchased Seabourne Care Home in which he later became a partner. Kevin gained a wide variety of experience, starting as a care assistant then working closely with the manager to implement a new administrative system, review documentation and help bring the Care Home up to a good standard.

Kevin completed his Taxation and Revenue Law Degree in September 2000. In June 2003, he set up Gunputh Associates Ltd with his parents.  As Managing Director, he was instrumental in purchasing Aranlaw House Care Home, which was registered for 24 residents.  Planning permission was sought and the building was demolished and subsequently totally redeveloped.  It now provides high quality accommodation for 46 residents. Kevin takes a very active interest in all that is going on at Aranlaw House and you will often see him around the home

The Registered Manager at Aranlaw House is Mandy Kittlety. Mandy can be contacted at Aranlaw House, 26 Tower Road, Branksome Park, Poole, Dorset. BH13 6HZ or via e-mail at mandy.kittlety@luxurycare.co.uk. Mandy is a qualified social worker and has worked in the health and social care field since 1979, working for the local council for 29 years.  Having started her career as a health care assistant in a residential care home she spent over 10 years providing care to older people either in their own homes or in a residential care home.

In 1990 when Mandy’s children were all of school age she furthered her career by moving into a social work assistant post; several promotions followed and by 2003 Mandy was promoted to a Team Manager post and managed a busy social work team.

In March 2008 Mandy made the decision to leave her post at Bournemouth Borough Council to work for Gunputh Associates Ltd. She was appointed Manager of Seabourne House Care Home, moving to Aranlaw House in November 2008 when the previous manager retired.

Mandy has undergone extensive training in a wide range of social care subjects and continues to ensure that both she and her staff team remain up to date with new developments and changes in legislation.  She is a very ‘hands on’ manager and she can often be found working alongside other members of her team as they care for and support residents. She believes passionately that the people who live in the home she manages should live happy, comfortable and fulfilled lives.  She wants them to maintain their optimum level of independence with support from the staff team at Aranlaw House.

Mandy has two Deputy Managers to help her, Debbie and Edwina. In addition, our management team is supported by a Assistant Deputy Manager, Mevin.

Debbie Loader first became interested in care when her grandfather became ill; she took on the role of being his main carer which she regarded as a pleasure. Debbie had spent a great deal of time as a child and teenager with her grandparents so she had many happy memories. Debbie says that caring for her grandfather when he needed her, although sad, enhanced her life in so many ways and that is when she decided a career in social care would change her life in so many ways, and this has proved to be the case.

Debbie started work as a health care assistant in a residential care home in Bournemouth; she then worked at St Ann’s Hospital for four years and gained many different skills that she still uses today in her daily life.  After working as a senior health care assistant in a residential care home and then as a deputy manager, Debbie took up a manager’s position in a small residential care home in Poole and in 2008, Debbie was employed at Aranlaw House as a Deputy Manager.

Debbie can often be found working alongside the care staff and laughing with the residents who live at Aranlaw. Debbie is a happy person and is always smiling and chatting with visitors to the home. Debbie is dedicated to enhancing the lives of all the residents so that they are happy and content. She deputises for Mandy if she is not around and can often be found in Mandy’s office keeping her seat warm for her return!

Mevin Sohorye is also a qualified chef and has worked for Gunputh Associates Ltd for nearly five years now. He has gained experienced in every type of job that is available in a care home setting so is a useful person to have around!  In doing this he has gained the knowledge, skills and experience that have led to his promotion to his current post of deputy manager. The list of tasks that Mevin has completed in his various roles is endless. (Don’t ask him about it or you might be listening to his stories all day long!)

Mevin is very proud to be a member of staff at Aranlaw House as he feels he has learnt so much here; he has particular skills in dealing with situations when residents are feeling upset about something.

Mevin is full of fun and always tries his very best to keep residents happy and smiling; when he is around laughter can always be heard!

Mevin likes going to the cinema, he enjoys clubbing and music as well as fashion.
